SoftSkills — Training Platform
Developed a multi-platform training management application as a university project proposed by Softinsa (IBM). Built React and Flutter frontends with a Node.js REST API and PostgreSQL database. Managed onboarding workflows and real-time data synchronisation across platforms.
Problem
Softinsa, an IBM subsidiary, proposed a platform to help remote teams with training management and knowledge sharing. Admins needed to create and run courses, participants needed to follow synchronous and asynchronous content, and everyone needed to see progress, attendance and certificates in one place, on web and mobile.
Solution
- React 19 web app (Vite, React Router, Zustand) and a Flutter mobile app sharing one Node.js/Express REST API.
- PostgreSQL with Sequelize; JWT and cookie-based authentication with role-aware routes.
- Course lifecycle (create, edit, publish, enroll), progress tracking and attendance.
- Forum module with topics, posts, evaluations and reports.
- Push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging, email via Resend, media on Cloudinary and scheduled maintenance jobs.
- Certificates generated as PDFs with a QR code (PDFKit) that anyone can verify.

Results
- Complete platform delivered: web, mobile and back office.
- Deployed on Vercel, with the frontend as a static app and the API as serverless functions.
